The gamescom is coming up and, as in previous years, will be opened by the Opening Night Live. We will tell you which games will definitely be showcased at the opening show.
What is the Opening Night Live? The Opening Night Live (short ONL) is the opening show of the gamescom and takes place on Tuesday evenings starting at 20:00. You can watch the ONL on Twitch, YouTube, X.com (formerly Twitter) as well as on the official gamescom website.
If you want to get in the mood, you can tune in from 19:30. The pre-show will already be running from then. This year’s ONL will be hosted by Canadian video game journalist and host Geoff Keighley along with Belgian TV host Eefje Depoortere.

What games can we expect to see? The opening show not only marks the opening of the fair but also features many trailers for the most anticipated games. Some of the titles that viewers can look forward to at the ONL are already known.

There has also been the first cancellation. According to a post by the host Geoff Keighley on Tuesday evening, the game Hollow Knight: Silksong will not be seen (via X.com). However, the host announced on X.com that there will also be new game announcements during the opening show.
The evening will also be filled with conversations with prominent guests as well as impressions of the fair and what you can expect there this year.
What happens after the Opening Night Live? After the ONL, gamescom opens to industry visitors on Wednesday. From Thursday, ticket holders can then explore the halls.
