The Orc Saurfang has a tragic fate in WoW: Battle for Azeroth. We reveal what happens to him.
More and more information from the Battle for Azeroth expansion is coming to light. In the next addon of World of Warcraft, the conflict between Horde and Alliance reignites.
As part of the intro experience, two dramatic incidents occur. Teldrassil, home to the Night Elves’ capital, Darnassus, is burned to the ground. In response, Anduin launches a campaign against Undercity, destroying Brill and large parts of the former city.
Spoiler alert: As this concerns the story events of Battle for Azeroth, there are obviously a few revelations.
After the successful attack on the city, Highlord Saurfang is brought down. As the last bastion of Undercity, he is defeated and faces his death. Anduin interrupts this and denies the Orc his honorable death. Instead, he recalls his father’s words that Saurfang “represents the best of the Horde.” He decides to capture the Orc and takes him to the dungeons of Stormwind. Note that the video currently has no voiceover.
When Anduin returns, he wants to talk to Saurfang about “honor and deeds,” to which Saurfang bitterly notes “if you return” – for in the depths of Undercity, a danger for the king still lurks. According to initial reports from the Alpha, Sylvanas supposedly still has remnants of the plague on site that will likely be used. What effects this will have on the young king remains to be seen.
What’s also exciting about this cinematic is that we get to see Jaina participating in the attack and clearly rejoining the forces of the Alliance.
What do you think of Saurfang’s capture? Is this just the beginning of an exciting questline? Or do you already see the end of this legendary Orc?
