In Monster Hunter World there is now an event quest, where you can craft a Kulu-Ya-Ku helmet. “Egg Lovers Unite” brings even more benefits than just the helmet. Here are the details about the quest and its special rewards.
Monster Hunter World repeatedly offers special event quests that provide you with new equipment. Often, these are rather unusual helmets. There has already been a pretty stylish pair of sunglasses and a Wobble Worm head.
As of today, March 30, you can craft a new helmet that gives you the head of a Kulu-Ya-Ku. This helmet looks quite realistic and seems a bit eerie with the bird’s fixed stare.
“Egg Lovers Unite” – This event quest brings more than just a helmet
The event quest is called “Egg Lovers Unite” and will be available to you from March 30 to April 5.
These are the quest requirements:
- Hunter Rank: 11 or higher – How to level up your Hunter Rank
- Location: Arena Quest
- Difficulty: Star Level 6
- Hunt a Kulu-Ya-Ku
If you repeat the quest often enough, you will get all the materials you need to craft the helmet. But there are even more reasons to take on this quest:
- You will receive a guaranteed large golden crown for the Kulu-Ya-Ku. This creature is an unusually large specimen.
- There is an increased chance for an egg as a reward. You can exchange this for Zenny.

Materials and stats of the Kulu-Ya-Ku event helmet
To craft the helmet, you need special tickets and materials from the bird. The number of tickets you get for completing the quest depends on chance. The head is only available in its alpha variant.
Materials you need:
- 3 x Kulu-Ya-Ku Ticket
- 1 x Kulu-Ya-Ku Beak+
- 4 x Kulu-Ya-Ku Magnificent Feather+
- 5 x Kulu-Ya-Ku Leather+
Once you have received a ticket, the option to craft the helmet will appear in the forge.

Statistics and base values of the helmet:
- Rarity: 5
- Defense: 46
- Slots: 1 x 2
- Fire: 2
- Water: 0
- Thunder: 2
- Ice: 3
- Dragon: 2
- Ability: Expert Delivery Level 1 – While carrying items, you move faster. Additionally, the probability of dropping carried items is reduced.

The Kulu-Ya-Ku is one of the first monsters you encounter and shouldn’t pose too much of a challenge. It likes to carry a rock with it, which it can throw at hunters and also uses for defense.
Here’s a quick tip for another event quest: Along with the Kulu-Ya-Ku event, “Miasma Opera” is currently taking place. Here you have an increased chance to farm small and large crowns. The quest takes place in the Valley of Decay, and you need to hunt a Great Girros, Radobaan, and Odogaron. The requirement here is Hunter Rank 13. You can also find these monsters on our list of all monsters with their weaknesses and loot.
How do you like the Dodo helmet? Will you be crafting it?
The quest “Egg Lovers Unite” will also be part of the big Spring Blossom Festival, which is coming to Monster Hunter World this April. You can find the details about the festival here: The Spring Festival of Monster Hunter World is full of new content
