At Trion Worlds, Christmas is in full swing: Plenty of snow, events, and festivities create a holiday atmosphere in Rift, Archeage, and Defiance.
Fae Yule Festival in Rift
In the fantasy MMORPG Rift, Christmas is better known as the Fae Yule Festival, which decorates all of Telara festively. In the Water Plains, you can undertake holiday quests for the Ghar Station Mem, Ghar Station Rosh, and the Scuddra Harbor, or you can battle the golden Devourer in a raid.
Festive costume weapons, animated player portraits, and a cheerful ferret mount provide the Christmas spirit. You can obtain the mount with a bit of luck from a supply crate.
As in previous years, you can also decorate villages during this year’s Fae Yule Festival and participate in fun mini-games in the Whitefall Steppes. Additionally, there are bonus rewards awaiting you upon completing expert dungeons. The festivities last until January 7th.
Winter Maiden Festival in ArcheAge
In ArcheAge, Frau Holle lets her pillow burst, and the entire MMO world shines in holiday glamor. For the first time, the Winter Maiden Festival is held in honor of Lady of the Forest Kyprosa, the gatekeeper of the garden. Until January 8th, special quests offering unique rewards await you as part of the event.
Thus, you must defeat various enemies on behalf of the Winter Maiden Messenger to retrieve stolen decorations. As a thank you, you will be rewarded with a holiday tree that you can place in your house. Once your tree is fully decorated, there are gifts like unique wands with special animations. At regular intervals, you will receive Lunaboxes containing tokens, which you can then exchange for festive headgear.
Moreover, brave heroes can face the vengeful sea goddess Dahuta in the new level 50 dungeon or take on the red dragon and his Wyrmkin minions in the Cliffs of Karkasse.
Solstice Celebration in Defiance
Christmas also does not spare Defiance, and the residents of Paradise celebrate their traditional Solstice Celebration. Unfortunately, this is a thorn in the side of the Volge. Alongside seasonal items and festive outfits, there is a special bounty for Ark hunters who confront the Volge. If you successfully withstand the Volge’s attacks, you will be invited to the Shondu Consulate to be rewarded with a gift. If you collect five gifts of this kind, you will receive one of twelve legendary weapons. You have until January 5th for this.
