Square Enix gives the fans of their MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV soon the opportunity to marry in the style of FFXIV even outside the game. For this, the developer has made a deal with a Japanese wedding agency.
How did this come about? It is now not uncommon for people to meet in online games and become good friends or even fall in love. In Final Fantasy XIV, it often happens that couples from the game decide to exchange rings in real life.
Inspired by the many emails he received from married players, producer Yoshida decided to also allow such couples to have a wedding in the style of his MMORPG outside of Final Fantasy 14. Therefore, the developer contacted “Wedding Hall Deuxzero”.
What is Deuxzero? It is a large Japanese agency that organizes wedding ceremonies tailored to the wishes of their clients. Deuxzero is also known for offering themed weddings. One of their popular services is weddings in the style of Disney princesses.
What will a Final Fantasy XIV wedding look like? The wedding ceremony will likely be performed in detail just like it is in Final Fantasy XIV. The clothing of the bride and groom will look just like the wedding outfits in the game. Additionally, various FFXIV decorations, as well as dishes recreated from the game, will be present.
On February 14, there will be a demonstration wedding for representatives of the press. Alongside director and producer Naoki Yoshida, Moga Mogami, a Japanese idol, will also be present.
How much the fun will cost, Square Enix has not yet communicated.
