What happened with the last update in Remnant? With Adventure Mode, players can now finally reset individual worlds to specifically farm the items they are still missing. At the same time, the developer Gunfire Games has reduced the difficulty of the highest difficulty level Nightmare. Instead of 300% more health, the values have been lowered to 250%.
The update has been very well received by players so far. Relatively unnoticed, however, the developer has also introduced an item into the game that can be easily obtained and has a strange description: The Admiral’s Ring.
Where do I get the Admiral’s Ring? You can obtain the ring from the general goods vendor Reggie in Station 13 for a mere 2 scrap metal. However, be careful in co-op mode. The first player to buy the ring will prevent other players from purchasing it. The others must restart the game for the ring to reappear in Reggie’s inventory.
What does the Admiral’s Ring do? According to the item description in the game, the ring reduces incoming ranged and melee damage and increases outgoing ranged and melee damage by 15%. This is a translation error. In reality, you receive 300% more damage. Really? Yes, really!
What purpose is the ring supposed to serve? According to the developers, the Admiral’s Ring is the best ring when it comes to outgoing damage bonuses. This is true, although you receive 300% more damage. Therefore, the ring is for those who find the game too easy but also want to progress faster. Otherwise, you can further increase your damage with traits.
Anyone wearing the Admiral’s Ring in Nightmare mode is likely to be knocked out by just about any attack. Your reflexes are therefore required! You will deal more damage yourself and can plow through the ranks of your enemies faster.
