The new “Deep of Night” update for Elden Ring Nightreign tests even hardcore players. MeinMMO video producer Lynn England has plunged into the darkness and reveals in a new video on the MeinMMO YouTube channel what to expect in this hardcore mode.
What do we want to show you? FromSoftware has released an update with the “Deep of Night” mode for Elden Ring: Nightreign that packs a punch. It was immediately clear to our video producer, a self-proclaimed hardcore gamer, that she had to take on this challenge. In a current video on our YouTube channel, she shares her first impressions after several hours in the new mode.
Although the mode may seem like a normal run at first glance, the drastically increased difficulty reveals itself right with the first enemies, who now take significantly more hits and can also deal more damage. This necessitates a slower, more strategic approach.
A new type of weapons also plays an important role in the “Deep of Night” mode. Enemies can now drop red weapons that are even more powerful than the legendary golden weapons, but always come with a catch – and you quickly feel that catch.
A special challenge is also created by the increasing uncertainty, as the final boss is hidden at higher levels and important symbols disappear from the map.
For several months now, we have been steadily expanding our MeinMMO YouTube channel and investing more time and heart into our videos. It’s all about online multiplayer games, gaming culture, and the associated communities. Feel free to stop by and subscribe to not miss any new videos!
What tips do we want to share with you?
In the YouTube video, Lynn reports on her own experiences in the game and what tips she could filter out for herself and for you:
Teamwork plays (still) an extremely important role, especially in the mode with the increased difficulty, as the mode is primarily designed for a cooperative experience. Accordingly, the choice of relics, navigation, and boss planning should be decided in consultation.
Lynn also believes that in the new mode, small camps should be rather ignored and the focus should be placed on minibosses to obtain the aforementioned better weapons. She also thinks it makes sense to prepare different weapons with a broad selection of fire, poison, holy, and lightning damage to be ready for all eventualities.
The “Deep of Night” mode is a real challenge for experienced players who know Limveld inside and out. Despite the high difficulty, it offers a new and exciting perspective on the game. In another video on our YouTube account, our MeinMMO video producer Anna talks about another game that is a bit cozier than Nightreign, but no less captivating: Competitive player ventures into a cute cozy MMO that captivates her for over 100 hours
