In 2025, the new MMORPG Chrono Odyssey is set to launch in the West. Now, leakers have revealed all classes and weapons, yet fans can’t help but complain.
What classes does the MMORPG offer? Chrono Odyssey aims to launch with six different classes. Each class comes without gender lock and is supposed to be able to wield three different weapons. The following classes have been revealed by leakers:
- Berserker – Chain Blades, Twin Axes, Battle Axe
- Swordsman – Greatsword, Sword and Shield, Dual Blades
- Ranger – Bow, Crossbow, Rapier
- Paladin – Spear, Halberd, Mace
- Wizard – Staff, Mana Sphere, Grimoire
- Assassin – Sabre, Wrist Blades, Musket
The information about the classes partly comes from videos on YouTube and partly from playtesters who shared it. Besides the weapons and classes, there is also a short text for each class that describes its role.
This text reveals what is already known from the genre. The wizard heals, the paladin tanks, and the assassin attacks from stealth. Thus, fans remain unsurprised.

18 Weapons, 6 Classes, and No Surprise
How do gamers find the concept? Fans on Reddit are not thrilled with the new information. They primarily rate the classes and weapons as boring and generic. User Cold_Associate2213 writes on Reddit: “The same generic classes we have gotten in MMOs over the last 20 years. Lol and lmao.”
User HesJustOneMan also feels uninspired on Reddit: “These classes and weapons look SO boring lmao. Hope it’s a good game.”
Player Crazy-Nose-4289 also finds it not very impressive on Reddit: “Yes, it’s a Korean MMO developed with UE5.”
User Clayskii0981 explains on Reddit: “FYI, these are just starter classes, it will have a full character creation. These are not gender-locked pre-made heroes.”
No one needs to worry about having to play exactly the characters shown during character creation. Chrono Odyssey will offer a character editor with various options.
Although Chrono Odyssey likely provides little surprises with its classes and weapon system, this can also be a positive aspect. The class system has been tried and tested and is popular.
