The team of HandOfBlood is currently going through a tough time in the professional scene of League of Legends. In a video, he talks about the situation and the potential relegation to the second league of the German PrimeLeague.
Which team is HandOfBlood? In November 2021, HandOfBlood (Hänno) founded his own LoL team. Eintracht Spandau (short: EINS) has since been firmly established in the esports scene and competes in various tournaments. The biggest achievement of the team was winning the EMEA Masters in Spring 2024 (liquidpedia.net).
What has Eintracht Spandau achieved so far in 2025? In 2025, Eintracht Spandau had few successes. In the PrimeLeague 2025 of the 1st League (Division) in Spring, they placed 8th. In the subsequent PrimeLeague in Summer, they could only secure the 10th and thus last place (lol.fandom.com).
Hänno himself says in the YouTube video from Eintracht Spandau, without blaming any team member, the following about his team’s performance: “We have not performed this poorly since the founding.”

EINS is facing relegation and Hänno hopes for support from fans
What does Hänno say in the video about relegation? As a long-time fan of esports and founder of the team, it is a hard blow for him to be facing relegation. Hänno himself says that relegation is not an option. Moreover, according to him, it is theoretically impossible for them to fall into the 2nd Division with the current roster.
Furthermore, he explains that they are even fortunate regarding relegation: The team CGN was thrown out of the 1st League/Division due to several rule violations, consequently only one team will be relegated in the current relegation instead of the usual two teams.
What support does Hänno hope for his team? HandOfBlood understands that fans’ interest may wane when the team they support is only losing. However, he hopes for the support of the fans and says in the video: “It would really mean a lot to us if you tune in to the relegation and cheer us on.”
When is relegation? The first series in the Best-of-5 format will take place on September 5 at 6 PM. If EINS wins the series, they will remain in the 1st Division. If they lose, they will have to contest another series on September 9 at the same time. If they lose the second series as well, Eintracht Spandau will be relegated to the 2nd Division.
Hänno and Broeki want to make relegation something special: To make the relegation a special event for the fans, Hänno and Broeki, who previously played as a bot laner at EINS, plan to commentate on the relegation.
