There is new information about your Legion in Watch Dogs Legion. Although the game world offers millions of characters, your Legion will consist of only 20 of them. However, you can play them simultaneously.
What kind of characters are they? In Watch Dogs Legion, you build your own “Legion” of “Hacktivists” from DeadSec. This consists of the citizens of London that you can recruit throughout the game.
In the game, there are supposed to be over 9 million unique characters available from which you can build your Legion.
You can switch between the characters in your group at any time and play them. They are your playable characters.
Game Director Kent Hudson has now provided a deeper insight: up to 20 citizens can be recruited and played at the same time (via segmentnext).
This makes the selection of the corresponding citizens a little more important.
The “Legion” in Watch Dogs
What can the citizens do? Citizens in Legion have a private life, special traits and abilities:
- some are good hackers
- others are strong fighters
- yet others are experienced ex-soldiers or drinkers with special perks
This composition of various traits, as well as background, profession, and ethnicity, creates countless unique characters.
This allows Legion to provide the ability to assemble a very personal Legion according to your preferences.
That’s why the selection is important: The “Legionnaires” are better suited for certain tasks due to their strengths and weaknesses than others.
Thus, it could be important to have specialists for each task among the 20 available slots.
It should also be noted that characters can die – sometimes they just randomly drop dead.
If a citizen dies, he is permanently dead and if he was an important part of your Legion, you will need to find a suitable replacement.
Since the Legion is limited to 20 characters, it is unlikely that you will simply have a replacement waiting on the bench. Thus, every citizen you recruit becomes more valuable and important.
