Warlocks in World of Warcraft gain more demonic company. A pretty handsome Incubus will join you, if you want.
In recent years, Blizzard has placed a greater focus on customizing player characters in World of Warcraft. Especially the upcoming Haranir overshadow all other races. But the companions in the game are also getting an increase, as Warlocks can get an Incubus, the male variant of a Succubus, in a new color variant.
What has been found? As icyveins reports, you can get a new color variant of the Incubus in Midnight. When visiting the barber in the Alpha, as a Warlock, you can select between the different variations of the demonic companions as usual. “Summon Sayaad” has received a new variant, a pale blue Incubus with golden eyes and black wings.
New Incubus in Midnight – You’ll get it almost automatically
To obtain this form, completing a quest line in “Voidstorm” – the endgame area of Midnight – is necessary. The quest line involves a Warlock who has to fight against her Voidwalker, which suddenly resists its mistress near the Void. The quest line doesn’t actually involve Sayaad – however, this customization is available at the end. So, it seems that all demon fans will get this unlocking more or less “automatically”.
What about the Succubus variant? Succubus fans have already had more options, as they can already access a fel corrupted variation and a shadowy form of the Succubus if they prefer.
Some Warlocks, however, note, for instance in the WoW subreddit, that it’s a bit unfortunate that the Sayaad fulfill little utility in combat and are only really used for extreme niche fights or in PvP. Because in most cases, all other demons are more useful – such as the Imp, who can remove debuffs, or the Fel Hunter, who provides an additional interrupt.
Most hope, therefore, that there will also be a revision of the demon abilities, so that one can confidently stomp through the world of Azeroth with a Sayaad companion.
If you think that your Succubus and your Incubus are two different characters, you are mistaken. They are, in fact, the same entity, making Sayaad genderfluid characters in World of Warcraft that adapt entirely to your desires. Although “desire” might be too much to say because a Warlock subjugates their demons.
