An employee of Crytek created a short film about Warhammer in his spare time – and it easily overshadows everything that has come before.
In the 41st millennium, there is only war – and military parades
What do you get when an Art Director from Crytek is also a huge fan of Warhammer 40,000 and enjoys bringing visual plans to life in his spare time? We can admire this in the video by Erasmus Brosdau on the Warpgazer YouTube channel. The nearly 10-minute film “The Lord Inquisitor” showcases humanity’s seat on the planet Earth – also known as “Holy Terra.” During a great military parade, an Inquisitor carries out his divine task imposed by the Emperor to purge corruption from within the ranks. In true Warhammer fashion, there is no time wasted.
The details and animations of the parade and the entire world are breathtaking, and every fan of the Warhammer universe will likely squirm in their office chair while watching the video. Unfortunately (or fortunately?), the clip is just the beginning of a longer story, so most of the time is spent showcasing the environments, with relatively little action to be seen. However, this will hardly spoil the fun for a true fan. Make sure to check out the masterpiece for yourself:
Mein-MMO says: Although the lip synchronization may be a significant flaw of the film, it is completely absorbed by the attention to detail and the pure atmosphere of the world. There are few works that depict the Warhammer world in all its wonderful cruelty. The comments under the YouTube video also seem to agree on this. When the result shows such high quality, fans are happy to wait another 6 years to see the sequel. Perhaps the lip synchronization will be a bit better next time.
