At TennoCon, the developer Digital Extremes revealed what players can expect in Warframe after the Empyrean update. Duviri Paradox will bring the third open world to the game. And according to the trailer, it looks quite psychedelic and surreal.
What is the new open world? At TennoCon, the developers from Digital Extremes also introduced content currently in development. They are currently working on “The Duviri Paradox,” which will introduce a new open world to Warframe.
Duviri Paradox is thus the third open world in the action RPG. Previously, the Plains of Eidolon and Fortuna have already been released.
When will Duviri Paradox be released? A release date for Duviri Paradox has not yet been announced. However, the Empyrean update will be released later this year, which will allow players to speed through space in battle ships. A specific date for the release is also not known at this time.
What can be seen in the trailer? The announcement of “The Duviri Paradox” came with a trailer that was meant to showcase the new game world. The images are quite disturbing and seem to scream “bad trip.” This fits well with the trailer description from Digital Extremes: “Tenno, it’s time to grow up.”
The trailer features a masked man in a suit wandering across a strange landscape filled with alien shapes and swirling mists. A terrifying mechanical dragon comes toward him, but it flies away and pays little attention to the man.
Suddenly, a horse’s scream is heard, and in the distance, a rider appears, charging directly toward the masked man. The man cannot defend himself until he sees in a dreamlike vision that a weapon is hidden in the landscape.
During the fight, the man loses his mask, revealing an visibly aged Tenno.
What do the players say? Since the trailer does not reveal much about the upcoming open world but only showcases kind of a psychedelic dream, players are discussing how the showcased elements fit into the story of Warframe. What is the rider, and what does he signify? Is it a known race or a new threat that exploits Orokin tech?
The grown-up Tenno from the video is generally well received by the players. They joke that the character could be Hayden Tenno, the protagonist from Dark Sector. The shooter was released by Digital Extremes in 2008.
