The players of Warframe are eagerly anticipating the release of Plains of Eidolon. The update brings a large open world full of new challenges. There’s also a new Warframe named Gara. The release of the update is expected in just a few days.
The dark coop shooter Warframe is set to receive the long-awaited update “Plains of Eidolon”. In it, you can finally expect a true open world. So far, your Tenno space ninjas have only been navigating through winding spaceships, buildings, and limited outdoor areas.
In the Plains of Eidolon, you will face towering mega-monsters as well as a dynamic day/night cycle.
Open world update coming next week
The exact release date for Plains of Eidolon is still a secret, but the time frame has recently been narrowed down more and more. Initially, it was “in October”, then “within the next 10 days”, and now finally “next week”.
Plains of Eidolon is expected to be released sometime between October 9 and 15, 2017. Like all updates from Warframe, Plains of Eidolon will also be available for free on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
New Warframe Gara comes with new weapons
In addition to the Plains of Eidolon update, the new Warframe Gara will arrive. Gara is a female Warframe who utilizes razor-sharp glass shards to slice her enemies apart.
In addition to Gara, three new weapons will also be introduced:
- Astilla: A new shotgun that fires explosive ammunition
- Volnus: A weapon with considerable power
- Fusilai: A weapon that shoots glass shurikens
Gara will be available with the Eidolon update, but her quest line will be added later in October.
