Warface, the online shooter from Crytek, will soon be distributed by a new publisher in Europe and North America. The Russian media company My.com will offer the game here in the future.
Warface is a Free2Play online shooter from the recently hard-hit developer Crytek. However, fans of the game need not worry despite the developer’s crisis, as a new publisher will be ready to distribute the game in Europe and North America starting in February 2017.
The Russians are coming!
The new publisher is the Russian company My.com, which already offers the online games Allods Online, Skyforge, Armored Warfare, and the new Asia-MMO Revelation Online in our regions. My.com is a subsidiary of the Russian giant Mail.ru, which has already been distributing Warface in the CIS for four years. The know-how is therefore present.
With the transfer of the publisher rights, 40 million accounts will change ownership. This transfer is intended to be as simple and straightforward as possible. Characters and all achievements and equipment will be retained. Updates and maintenance of Warface will continue to be handled by Crytek at their offices in Kyiv.
