Transmogification for Everyone, WoW Only for Cinemaxx Customers
Next Thursday (May 26) the long-awaited movie “Warcraft: The Beginning” will be released in theaters and retells the story of the first conflict between Orcs and Humans in Azeroth. To celebrate this appropriately, there is a small promotional event in World of Warcraft where players can snag some particularly stylish equipment. All players who log in between May 25, 2016 and August 1, 2016 will receive a transmogification set that fits their faction.
Horde players can get the staff of Gul’dan and an axe styled after the Orc Durotan, while Alliance followers must settle for a sword and shield that presents the Lion of Stormwind.
If you haven’t yet dived into World of Warcraft or simply want to create a second account, you should ideally watch the movie (in Germany) in a Cinemaxx cinema. There, all viewers will receive a digital standard version of World of Warcraft, which now also includes Warlords of Draenor. However, it is noted that the supply is limited (although no one really knows how “digital versions” can be limited) and is only valid from May 26 to June 3.
Austrians and Swiss, on the other hand, seem to be left out, as there are no partner cinemas supporting this offer according to information on the battle.net site.
Also, keep in mind that with Legion, the wardrobe will be introduced, and the skins for transmogification will then be available account-wide. However, it is questionable whether the restriction for Horde and Alliance will be lifted.
