In War Thunder, you will soon be able to send new tanks into battle that are more powerful than any before.
The developers of War Thunder have been busy focusing on balancing optimizations. There were significant discrepancies between the newly introduced tanks and the older models. But now, a completely new line of tanks is coming to the game: the Tier-6 tanks!
New, powerful tanks are coming
These tanks feature new technologies as they come from the era of the Vietnam War and the Cold War. These war machines include BMP-1, M50 Ontos, T-64A, and M60A1. All are powerful tanks that are significantly stronger than the tanks from previous wars. Therefore, the upcoming update 1.71 is also named “The New E.R.A.”, meaning a new era. With composite and explosive-reactive armor, strong technologies will also be introduced that could not be used for the Tier-5 tanks as they were simply too powerful for them.
What about Tier-6 aircraft?
The update 1.71 only addresses ground vehicles. However, since there are also air battles in War Thunder, fans wondered what would happen with them. The developers explain that they will address Tier-6 aircraft in another update. “The New E.R.A.” will initially focus on the tanks. At the moment, it is not yet clear when update 1.71 for War Thunder will be released. It is supposed to be in September.
