The World War MMO War Thunder is significantly upgraded with patch 1.43. With a destructible environment, numerous new tanks, anti-aircraft guns, aircraft, analysis tools, the hangar, and a kill cam, they aim to take the game to the next level.
Gaijin Software has released a trailer for the extensive changes coming with patch 1.43. That’s really a lot. In a “quieter” part, players are now given the opportunity to engage with their own tanks and those of the opponents before things get heated. And in the action part, it goes boom, kaboom, and crash.
This allows players to accurately analyze where the weaknesses of their own tank lie and where those of the opponent can be found. In battle, there’s a kind of kill cam where you can see where a tank was hit and how it reacted (not so well, otherwise it would hardly be called kill cam). In the hangar, you can also save different configurations for your aircraft with 1.43 to react to anti-aircraft fire, for example.
With 1.43, a whole lot of new models are also coming into play. In addition, tanks can now also treat the environment as they should, with their tracks. The patch is set to appear first for PC, with the PS4 version coming a bit later.
Anyone who has never heard of War Thunder -> The game has made it to number 2 in our Free2Play ranking. In a direct comparison with World of Tanks, it also performs well. It targets a different audience and emphasizes different aspects. Just check out the trailer for 1.43, as it gives you a good insight into what War Thunder wants to be and how it plans to achieve that.
It’s worth watching the trailer just to hear how the English narrator says “Kugelblitz”, “Wirbelwind”, or “Ostwind”.
