In War Thunder, the competitor to World of Tanks, the Yankees are now entering the game. The Russian MMO is bringing 30 new tanks into the game.
War Thunder is originally a combat flight simulation set during World War II. In recent months, with “Ground Forces”, it has also made the leap to the ground and has firmly positioned itself as a competitor against Wargaming’s mighty World of Tanks. With the upcoming update 1.45, War Thunder is showing that it is willing to continue the ground offensive. 30 new US tanks are making their way into the game.
Among them are some of the “iconic” tanks like the Sherman tank and the M2, which you may also recognize from war movies. In the last few days, a sort of army review of tanks took place in the Dev Blog. On the occasion of the Paris Game Week, new tanks were showcased daily for five days.
War Thunder is a Free2Play MMO for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The date for the actual update “Steel Generals” has not yet been determined.
