The Twitch streamer Zarbex recently experienced an unexpected surprise. A fan showed him a tattoo bearing the name of the streamer – but with a curious mistake that left both Zarbex and his viewers stunned.
Who is the streamer? The 25-year-old Maik from Schleswig-Holstein started his Twitch career in April 2019 with content covering games like League of Legends, Minecraft, and Rust.
However, he will only become truly famous throughout the year 2024. While he has an average of 781 viewers in January 2024, this number skyrockets to an impressive 6,887 by July 2024 (via Twitchtracker).
Zarbex is especially known for his honest and direct demeanor. He does not shy away from giving personal and sometimes quirky insights into his life, making him both fascinating and controversial. Recently, he has made a name for himself as a versatile reaction streamer, and this time he even showed something in his stream that directly affects him.

Zarbex explains that this fan has immortalized the names of his ten favorite streamers on his arm, including their real names.
Notable names include big names like Knossi, Montanablack, and Elotrix. Zarbex’s stage name is also among them. “Well, that’s a sweet gesture at first,” he comments.
“Who would have thought it, Chat? I’ve lied to you for years.”
So what is so special about it? Under the stage name “Zarbex” lies the real name “Maik Taschenbier.” This may not cause any surprise for viewers initially, but Zarbex quickly clarifies: “Who would have thought it, Chat? I’ve lied to you for years. My real name, my last name is actually not Taschenbier.”
Why does the wrong name appear under Zarbex’s stage name on the tattoo? The answer is rather curious.
Where does the name Maik Taschenbier come from? Zarbex addresses his viewers and asks if they know the origin of the name “Taschenbier.” He explains that the joke comes from an old tweet by Henke. “Because he once posted on Twitter: ‘Maik’s real name is Maik Gustav Taschenbier,'” Zarbex explains.
He continues: “This person googled it, saw it, and then decided to get Zarbex – Maik Taschenbier tattooed on them.” Visibly shocked, he adds: “That’s forever on this person’s arm. I’d like to sugarcoat it, but I can’t.”
Despite the unexpected and somewhat quirky situation, Zarbex remains understanding and respectful. He appeals to his community: “Everyone can do what they want with their body.”
