With Medieval Dynasty, the German publisher Toplitz Productions achieved a real surprise success on Steam. Now, Wild West Dynasty aims to build on the success of the life simulation and bring the familiar city-building gameplay to the Wild West. What does the trailer show? The in-game teaser of Wild West Dynasty shows what we can expect from a game in the Wild West. We see the prairie, a carriage crossing it, and bandits ambushing the carriage.
We also see the construction of the first buildings of your own town, animals, a mine being explored, and typical elements from survival games like chopping down trees and mining rocks.
Survival struggle in the American West
What kind of game is this? In Wild West Dynasty, you take on the role of a person who comes to the Wild West as a settler in the 19th century. There, your goal is to build your own farm, then your own town, and even your own dynasty.
In the open game world, you collect resources, hunt your next food, explore abandoned mines and caves, and rely on a extensive skill tree.
Alongside typical survival aspects like crafting items and buildings or farming resources, managing workers and trade routes is particularly important in the life simulation.
What is known about the release? Wild West Dynasty is set to be released on Steam later this year. However, a specific release date has not yet been announced.
In general, there is currently very little information available about the title from Toplitz Productions.
Besides Wild West Dynasty, Sengoku Dynasty is also set to be released in 2022, which takes you to feudal Japan and is expected to have a cooperative mode at launch.
