Mega Evolutions are coming in 2020

Tsunekazu Ishihara, the CEO of the Pokémon Company, then revealed that we will soon get Mega Evolutions in Pokémon GO. However, no further details were provided.

What are Mega Evolutions? These evolutions have existed since the 6th generation of Pokémon. Through Mega Evolution, the affected Pokémon temporarily gains a new appearance and new powers. However, this evolution is usually not permanent, but only lasts for a limited time.
Not every Pokémon has a Mega Evolution. Currently, there are 46 Pokémon in Pokémon GO that could receive one.
Victini is coming – For the GO Fest?
What was revealed: A shadow of Victini appeared in the stream. This is a mysterious Pokémon from the 5th generation. The image appeared next to the logo of the GO Fest 2020.
Ishihara then revealed that Victini will also appear in 2020. He did not mention a specific date.
Is it coming to the GO Fest? This is quite realistic. Niantic has already announced a mysterious Pokémon for the GO Fest 2020. Trainers have suspected that it could be Shaymin, but Victini would also fit in.
However, we will likely only learn more information about this in the coming days. The fact is that we will definitely see Victini in 2020.
