Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went live this morning with Patch 1.09, which includes several bug fixes. The patch notes could fill pages – here is a summary of the key points.
What’s happening in Modern Warfare? The exciting shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been actively supported with patches by Infinity Ward since its release a few weeks ago.
The developers interact a lot with their players via social media, have already revealed quite a bit, and the CoD soldiers have been eagerly waiting for it to finally go online.
This morning, on November 22, Patch 1.09 was deployed, featuring extensive changes and new content. Check out the summary of the key points here.

Patch 1.09 – Summary of the Patch Notes in English
How large is the patch? The patch has different sizes on different platforms:
- PC: approximately 21 GB
- PS4: approximately 13 GB
- Xbox One: approximately 20 GB
What new content does the update bring? The patch addresses minor issues from recent weeks, as well as new modes for multiplayer and missions for Spec Ops.

- “Door Kick”
- 3-star rating system
- XP & MP rewards based on rating
- Multiplayer modes:
- Realism Moshpit replaces Realism TDM

- Every kill gives a different weapon; the first to get a kill with all weapons wins
Bug Fix List of the Update is Extensive
What bugs have been fixed? Small bugs often have a big impact on gameplay, and the developers want to eliminate these unwanted influences as quickly as possible.
- The field upgrade “Dead Silence” did not work correctly with “Call of Duty League” (CDL) rules
- There were issues when planting bombs in private matches with CDL rules and in Realism mode
- In games with only one life, players could check the area for death for a moment (Spectator)
- The perk “Scout” did not work properly and did not show the intended enemy equipment
- The perk “KRD” sometimes caused parts of the HUD to disappear after hacking an enemy’s equipment
- The perk “Fix” did not work after throwing knife kills
- The perk “Amped” did not work correctly with the Tactical Shield
- Talismans were not displayed correctly on some weapons
- The game’s intro sequence was often too loud
- Further work was done on graphical issues related to cut-scenes
- A problem that sometimes occurred when creating a party
- Some of the challenges were sometimes displayed as completed, even though that was not the case
- Progress/challenge and mission progress were further revised
- The P90 showed an unwanted sight reflection with a certain attachment

Few Weapon Adjustments, but New Customization Options
What changes are coming to gameplay or settings? The gameplay feel is also supposed to be improved, and there have been a few quality of life adjustments. The request for a thermal scope that can see through smoke has also been fulfilled.
- It is now possible to enable permanent sprint
- Thermal scopes can now see through smoke
- In private matches, the spawn cam can be disabled
- The killfeed has been further adjusted to show fewer messages
- The footstep volumes have been readjusted
- Sprinting with aim down sights (ADS) and crouch sprinting
- Shorter execution animations
- Adjustments to grenades
- Snapshot grenade lit up players too much
- Decoy grenade showed decoy for friend and foe
- FN SCAR 17 – Slower ADS, but better properties in the crouched mode

What’s next? The responsible parties are talking a lot about upcoming updates on Twitter and reddit and already giving a glimpse of what’s to come. Only regarding matchmaking do the developers have little to say.
Also, the battle royale mode found by data miners with an incredible 200 possible players is not yet on Infinity Ward’s press agenda.
