Those who enjoyed the anime Avatar – The Last Airbender know the power fantasy surrounding elemental powers. The God Slayer takes this idea now on the PS5 and shows in the trailer how well it works.
What kind of game is this? The new “The God Slayer” is an action RPG for PS5 and Steam, which stands out primarily due to its similarity to the anime “Avatar – The Last Airbender”, even though it is not a direct offshoot.
In a steampunk-inspired world, you play as a character whom many would describe as “Zuko” from the anime, likely due to his appearance. The enemies use standard melee weapons but also drive cars into battle.
However, your character uses the elements in combat instead of an axe.

What can your character do? The gameplay trailer already gives a good impression of your character’s abilities. The player has the ability to control all elements and thus attack enemies with fire, water, earth, and wind.
Skills from martial arts Tai Chi and Kung Fu are executed with flaming hands or enemies can be covered in ice. As a player, you can also make use of the elements of the game world. In the video, you can see how the character, for example, utilizes water from a water tower.
Of course, combining elements is also an important topic. You can shatter enemies with a summoned boulder after freezing them.
How is the trailer received? In just 20 hours, nearly 500,000 viewers have seen the trailer on YouTube. Many feel transported back to their childhood and clearly recognize the parallels to Avatar – The Last Airbender. Accordingly, the comments under the video are also quite joyful:

When “The God Slayer” will be released is still unknown. Only that it is confirmed to be released on Steam and PS5. In some respects, the title also resembles the new hit Where Winds Meet, but this is not just by coincidence, but due to the real locations: players live in the “real” Where Winds Meet, showing with pictures the real places from the world
