In World of Tanks: Mercenaries will soon provide you with huge, battling mechs on Xbox One and PS4.
What’s it about? In the Core-Breach mode, the robotic battle colossi will start their fights in World of Tanks: Mercenaries on January 29. You can control these gigantic fighters until February 4. After that, they will be gone.
There are two mechs to choose from, which you can climb into the cockpit and take control of.
What mechs are available? You have the following mechs to choose from:
- US Iron Soldier
- and USSR Steel Comrade
- Iron Soldier
- UdSSR
How many people can play? In the core breach mode matches, you play with the mechs in a 4v4 team deathmatch. If a mech is destroyed, the pilot escapes using the ejection seat and can take control of a new unit after 15 seconds.
How long does a round last? A match lasts 8 minutes. The team that destroys the most mechs wins. If there is a “draw,” the damage caused will count.
What weapons do the mechs have? Both mech types are equipped with machine guns, lasers, and rockets.
What rewards are there in Core-Breach? The battles with the mechs do not affect your battle statistics. However, there are rewards for participation.
- Mechs earn experience points, which you can convert into free XP
- You do not earn silver
- There are special core breach ops rewards
When you complete the new ops that are only available in core breach mode, you can unlock two medals. The First-Breach Medal and the Full-Breach Medal.
How do you earn the medals? The first medal, first breach, is awarded for participating in a battle in core breach. To earn the Full-Breach Medal, you need to destroy at least 25 mechs.
Additional rewards include XP boosts, crew XP boosts, and silver.
