Twitch streamer Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler is supposed to be the savior in a game on Steam, but then he sabotages his team because he feels treated unfairly.
Trymacs played the tactical shooter Ready or Not during a livestream, where players take on the role of a SWAT team and must handle various dangerous situations as police officers.
Alongside Trymacs were other well-known streamers, including Zarbex, eliasn97, Max Schradin, and NiklasWilson, all of whom played together as a team. However, during the gaming session, a small scandal occurred and Trymacs turned against his allies.
Here you can see a trailer for Ready or Not:
Trymacs turns from police officer to ruthless extortionist
How did Trymacs become a criminal? While the streamers were freeing the building from criminals and securing the hostages held there, a shot accidentally fired from one of the streamers and hit Trymacs’ character.
Trymacs then addressed his teammates and aimed his weapon at one of the hostages: “Who shot me? You need to admit it now!” he demanded. But when none of the streamers confessed to the friendly fire, Trymacs counted down from 5 and subsequently shot one of the hostages.
Zarbex was not pleased with this action and confronted Trymacs. He responded with loud shouting: “We played the gas station 6 times and I got shot 6 times! Why is no one admitting it?!” Shortly after, Trymacs shot another hostage and remarked: “I could do this all day.”
A edit of the “Ready or Not” round was published on Trymacs’ YouTube channel. Here you can see around 8:30 how the disaster began and escalated:
Ultimately, Trymacs’ behavior led to the mission’s failure, as the police killed too many civilians during the operation. This is something that incurs penalties in Ready or Not.
What kind of game is Ready or Not? The tactical shooter Ready or Not (PC) is a realistic police simulation. The goal of the game is to represent the operations of a police special unit.
Accordingly, you must free buildings from different dangerous situations with your SWAT team in the various PvE levels. It is particularly important to act tactically and attentively, as not all people in the buildings are villains. Those who are too quick on the trigger might hit a hostage or other civilians – and that incurs point penalties.
Tactical action also requires a certain caution. You must open doors slowly and be aware of booby traps, scout rooms, and take out enemies strategically. Ideally, you can even apprehend a criminal alive, even if they are heavily armed themselves.
Streamers Max Schradin and Zarbex recently played Ready or Not with a former SEK officer, who also streams on Twitch. He acted as a kind of trainer for the two civilians: Former SEK officer shows streamers on Twitch how to proceed correctly in a tactical shooter
