A Twitch streamer managed to catch a shiny in a Pokémon mod in Minecraft. For that, she used nothing less than the Master Ball.
Minecraft and Pokémon are among the most popular games of our time. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are also some mods that bring the beloved monsters from Pokémon to Minecraft. One of them is Cobblemon.
Mahluna, a Twitch streamer with over 430,000 followers, is playing this mod with other streamers on her own Minecraft server. According to her own statement, she has no idea about Pokémon. This is also evident with the first shiny she was able to catch on the server.
A bird that can’t even fly
Which monster did she catch? While Mahluna is expanding her base, she suddenly hears a sound that indicates a shiny is nearby. She looks around and finds the monster: a Doduo at level 31.
In a hurry, she decides that the Pokémon must be caught. She opens her bag and chooses nothing less than the Master Ball to catch the Pokémon. While the Master Ball is unique in the standard Pokémon games, it requires some hard-to-obtain resources to craft it in Cobblemon.
Since Doduo and its evolution Dodrio are quite weak Pokémon, the choice of the Master Ball for this monster may not have been the best choice. While there are no legendary Pokémon in Cobblemon without additional mods, there are still some strong monsters where the Master Ball might have been better used.

What happens next in the video? Only a short time after she received the shiny Doduo, Mahluna hears the shiny sound again. She looks around her base and actually finds the next Pokémon in its shiny form: a Pidgey at level 23.
This time she had taken a Quick Ball to catch the shiny Pokémon. She was also able to successfully catch this monster and add it to her team.
These days, the world of Pokémon is gigantic. Besides countless video games, there are also many gimmicks and of course the trading cards. A trainer recently managed to get a very special signature on a trading card: Trainer has his Pokémon signed by the Pope and the choice of his card couldn’t have been better.
