In League of Legends there are a total of five different roles. Each of them has specific tasks and differs from the others. A Twitch streamer claimed that a certain role is the easiest and wanted to prove it. Now he has given up and apologized to the players.
Which streamer is it? The 23-year-old Canadian Dantes has been regularly streaming on Twitch since 2019 (Twitch.tv). Most of the time he plays League of Legends and has become known as a Hecarim main. With over a million followers, he is one of the largest LoL streamers on Twitch.
Which role is supposed to be the easiest? According to Dantes X post from May 5, 2025, it is the role of ADC (Attack Damage Carry), who plays on the bot lane and usually functions as a pure damage dealer.
The ADCs are often marksmen who rely on quick and strong attacks as well as good positioning. If they are coordinated attacked by the enemy team, things look difficult for the ADC, as they have fewer defensive means available. In his post, he wrote the following about the role:
In a week I will show everyone how unbalanced and easy this role is when you pick the right champions that can actually carry and are played like a normal person.

The mentality of the players led him to this
Why are other players the reason for his ADC arc? In his X post, Dantes also addressed the reason for his endeavor. The mentality of ADC players has been the same for 15 years, during which League of Legends has existed.
They complain about being killed with one shot while not buying a single defensive item, and that they are not able to carry the game when they pick the wrong champions.
Furthermore, Dantes writes about the ADC players: “15 years of pure, unfiltered reality loss.”
What does a former ADC pro say about his statements? The former LoL pro and ADC player Jackspektra commented on Dantes’ post. He pointed out that his points are not the reason why ADCs have problems: “If you believe that the average ADC player has problems because of their item choice and champion picks, then unfortunately a rude awakening awaits you.”
Dantes’ honor and 1700 Euros are at stake
How did his ADC arc go? Dantes X account consisted of posts on this topic for several weeks. With his LoL account “ADC Easy Role” he attempted to reach the master rank.
He shared his experiences with various champions and celebrated his successes when he ranked up. Losses, such as a rank drop or a long losing streak, were also shared with his community.
On June 25, Dantes posted a deadline for his challenge (x.com). He gives himself 21 days to reach the master rank after he was stuck at Diamond 4 for a month – that is the rank before master. In the same post, he announced what would happen if he does not succeed.
What happens if he does not reach the master rank? In the event of failure, he will set the ADC role aside forever, lose $2,000, which is approximately 1,700 Euros, and will admit that ADC is the hardest role in League of Legends. So his promise.
After a few days, he eventually gave up
How did Dantes’ ADC journey end? Only 10 days after his post, in which he still gave himself 21 days, he gave up on the challenge. On July 6, 2025, he wrote on X that he had woken up after 600 games and realized something: ADC is the hardest role in the game and he was wrong about the defensive item choices of marksmen.
Furthermore, Dantes writes that he wants to apply everything he has learned to his role in the jungle. He wants to see how far he can get in rank with his beloved Hecarim. In addition to these admissions, he apologizes to all ADC players who had to read his posts.
What challenges have others set for themselves? Besides Dantes, there are other LoL players who set themselves a challenge.
The German Twitch streamer NoWay wants to reach Challenger in every region of the world, the highest rank of League of Legends. After completing 9 regions, the super server from China is next and has some surprises in store for NoWay: NoWay has reached the highest rank in LoL 9 times, but the Chinese super server surprises even him: “How cool is that?”
