The Twitch streamer and football professional of 1. FC Nürnberg, Niklas-Wilson “Willy” Sommer (26), posted a photo of himself in the jersey of Bayern Munich on Instagram. This triggered a brutal counter-reaction from some fans of the “Club”.
This was the reaction to the photo: 1. FC Nürnberg played against 1. FC Magdeburg on Saturday and lost 0:4. The posters read: “Niklas Wilson, you are shit, just like the FCB” and “Wilson, fuck off, you Bayern pig.”
But that wasn’t enough, according to a report from 1. FC Nürnberg, Wilson was attacked on the street in Nürnberg and required medical attention.
As the club stated, he was “ambushed in front of his own door”. People in Nürnberg believe that the attack was a direct reaction to the photo (via fcn).
Did anything happen to him? The 26-year-old apparently needed medical attention but seems not severely injured.

This is what the club says: Nürnberg states that the individuals who attacked the player have “crossed all boundaries”.
The photo was reportedly “deleted shortly after publication, and the player publicly asked for forgiveness.”
It is not accepted when players are attacked. The club condemns this behavior in the strongest terms.
The police began the investigation that night.
In the comments to the tweet, many fans distance themselves from the violence. Although the action by Niklas-Wilson was not “cool”, that does not justify such a sick thing, it is said there, for instance.

For ultra football fans, Twitch is evil commerce, has nothing to do with football, and players like Niklas-Wilson are particularly in the spotlight.
