The Twitch streamer NoWay flew to the other side of the world to play League of Legends to challenge the Chinese super server. Now he has been banned.
Where did NoWay fly to? On his YouTube channel Variety4u, NoWay uploaded a vlog about his trip to Taiwan (YouTube.com). His goal there is to reach the highest rank in League of Legends in the Taiwan and China regions. The distance from Germany to Taiwan is about 9310 kilometers (distancefromto.net)
On July 7, 2025, he managed to become Challenger in Taiwan. Next up was the Chinese super server, which surprised NoWay and his duo partner Sola with many helpful features.
Unfortunately, NoWay’s League of Legends account, with the wonderful name “Invincible Tyrannosaurus Rex 2”, which he specially received from Riot, has been banned.
How did the ban happen? NoWay does not know the exact reason. As only his account was banned, he suspects it was due to mass reporting. The accounts of his travel companions were not banned.
With a second account, NoWay wants to confirm his theory to gain certainty, should this one also receive a ban from League of Legends. NoWay himself says the following about the ban:
It’s extremely annoying, it destroys all chances that we can achieve Challenger because we have lost three full days because of this, and it’s generally very frustrating, but there is nothing I can do about it.

Viewers wonder how a Riot account can be banned
What do his fans say about it? In the various videos, there are several comments about the ban. The biggest question his viewers are asking is how an account that he received from Riot can be banned.
The user Israheo commented under NoWay’s YouTube video (YouTube.com):
I just don’t understand why Riot doesn’t provide him as a streamer, who they know can be trusted, with an account that is immune to bans? After all, you can see every minute he is online in the stream.
Another user named kingvonderwelt5090 seems to have figured out the background of the ban (YouTube.com): “The Chinese government couldn’t allow Freddy to make the region look too easy.”
What are NoWay’s plans going forward? Since NoWay has some obligations, like every person, he cannot stay longer in Taiwan to play on the super server.
His initial thought was to take another trip at the beginning of 2026, as he would have a month there. However, NoWay would like to have account security so that something like this doesn’t happen again and disrupt his way to Challenger around the world.
