The streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris is probably the most famous German Twitch streamer. In connection with the shopping addiction of the streamer Tanzverbot the 35-year-old has now explained how much tax he pays in a year. From this, one can conclude how much money comes in annually.
This is the situation:
- The streamer Tanzverbot is friends with MontanaBlack and is in financial trouble. He suffered from a shopping addiction for one and a half years, as he says, regularly spent large amounts at KaDeWe for branded clothes and expensive food. The shopping addiction apparently developed when he was out with “wealthy people” like Sido.
- The streamer MontanaBlack says he also went shopping frequently with Tanzverbot. Both would have brought their “Platinum American Express” card to life. He also spent €200,000 on clothing.
- Unlike Tanzverbot, MontanaBlack could afford it because he streams regularly and has constant income. Tanzverbot does not.
MontanaBlack pays approximately €350,000 quarterly to the tax office
How much does MontanaBlack earn? In a stream on Twitch, MontanaBlack said that as a self-employed person, he also makes quarterly advance payments to the tax office:
- He regularly pays €300,000 to €350,000 in taxes per quarter
- One can conclude from this that he must have earned about €3.5 million in the previous year to have such a high quarterly tax burden for the following year.
- Now, MontanaBlack says, he has founded a GmbH and no longer has to pay advance taxes.

Where does all the money come from? From a leak of Twitch earnings in 2021 one could see that MontanaBlack earned about €2.12 million on Twitch from August 2019 to October 2021. However, this is only the money that comes in directly from Twitch through subscriptions, donations, bits, and advertising revenue.
In addition, MontanaBlack regularly accepts placements, for example he advertised NFT projects in 2022, which he marked as advertising.
He also runs the YouTube channels “Richter Kevin” and “Die Crew”, where a cutter uploads clips of his Twitch streams. As MontanaBlack once explained, he makes
successful videos there regularly €3,000 to €5,000.
In addition, MontanaBlack sells merchandise under the brand “Get on my level” and has his own energy drink on the market called Gönergy.
MontanaBlack can therefore easily afford the lifestyle that has gotten Tanzverbot into trouble.
