xQc bet 820,000 dollars on the winner
The Twitch streamer explained that he would have bet 820,000 US dollars on the boxing match between Dillon Danis and Logan Paul. He seemed to have bet that Logan Paul would win the fight by decision.
From the start, it was clear that Danis was the significantly weaker candidate, so the victory for Logan Paul, and thus also for the Twitch streamer, seemed quite certain.
But just seconds before the victory, Dillon Danis was disqualified. This was due to Danis’s decision to quit the boxing match and instead try to grab Paul, which constituted a rules violation.
How did xQc react? Unsurprisingly, he was quite angry. After the announcement of the disqualification, xQc immediately took to Twitter to express his frustration about the outcome of the fight.
xQc showed himself not only quite upset about the disqualified Danis and his behavior but also that he lost 820,000 dollars because of it. That is about 780,000 euros.
In the end, it came down to just 2 seconds that were on the fight clock.
Streamer could have won a lot of money, but sports betting is always high-risk
How much money could he have won? Some betting sites had listed Paul before the fight with odds of +310 for a victory by decision.
If Logan Paul had indeed won the fight by decision, he would have been just seconds away from a payout of over 3.2 million US dollars. That is about 3 million euros.
