The Twitch streamer Hugo “LetsHugo” is participating in the fourth season of 7 vs. Wild. While the others often see the cold as a potential reason to quit, he finds something else much worse.
Attention: This article contains spoilers for the third episode of the fourth season of 7 vs. Wild.
What is Hugo’s problem? Hugo can name his problem after just a few hours in the wilderness of New Zealand, and that is boredom. In a conversation with Joe Vogel (3rd episode of the 4th season on Freevee) he says: “I would have liked to have a phone or something.”
Hugo also continues to discuss the topic with fitness influencer FlyingUwe. For him, it is quite conceivable that he would quit the project after a week because he cannot stand the boredom.
Moreover, he does not understand how the others can endure it all. Hugo says he does so much, yet time still seems to pass too slowly for him.
The Twitch streamer Trymacs has also been in the format 7 vs. Wild. We introduce him in the video:
Hugo’s boredom makes him cry
What are the consequences of Hugo’s boredom? As the Twitch streamer distances himself a bit from the group, he elaborates on how much the boredom affects him. He says he gets nervous due to the lack of stimulation and experiences a kind of panic attack.
Eventually, Hugo starts to cry and says he does not understand why he feels so bad about it. He is probably not used to “just chilling” anymore.
Why does Hugo feel this way? Uwe suggests as a possible reason that the Twitch streamer is overstimulated. He always has a screen in front of him, whether it be the PC or something else: “But it’s also nice without all that stuff.”
Hugo’s boredom is not the only problem the group has to endure. The cold and hunger push the group to their limits, and very soon two camps form: Not even 24 hours after being dropped off at 7 vs. Wild, the group is already on the verge of splitting.
