The German Twitch scene plans a German counterpart for OnlyFangs in WoW Classic for 2026. One of the streamers does not want to comply with the conditions set by Maximilian “HandOfBlood” Knabe because it violates his rules.
What is OnlyFangs? OnlyFangs is the guild name of an American streamer guild that played World of Warcraft in hardcore mode as a major Twitch project in 2025. The streamers competed to achieve as many raid successes as possible with only one life per character.
The project was extremely popular on Twitch and single-handedly pushed the WoW category on Twitch. Under the leadership of Kevin “Papaplatte” Teller, a German edition of the WoW project is set to emerge in 2026. The Twitch streamer invited HandOfBlood, among others, to become part of the project.
However, he made it a condition for his participation that he would only join if he received both the guild leadership and raid leadership positions. Otherwise, the goal of defeating the raid Zul’Gurub would not be achievable. Now another streamer responds that he will not allow this demand.
Violates Starfleet Rule 187
Who is against HandOfBlood’s demand? The Twitch streamer Giacomo “Metashi12” Curci, who was also invited to the project by Papaplatte, does not want to allow HandOfBlood to enforce his will. In a livestream on Twitch (available in a clip on YouTube), Metashi12 reacted to the demands and rejected them.
He explains that this violates the “Starfleet Rule 187,” which he likely invented himself. This rule states that a person cannot hold both raid leadership and guild leadership positions at the same time because otherwise they would be “emotionally compromised.”
The implication is that it is better not to combine the positions, as conflicts in the raid should ideally be resolved by a third party. This would not be possible in the case of HandOfBlood holding both positions.
What else does Metashi12 reveal? The Twitch streamer reveals in the livestream that more and more big streamers are interested in World of Warcraft and the hardcore guild project. According to him, the project is “coming sooner or later”.
HandOfBlood has also commented on the subject in another livestream. A clip on YouTube shows that he confirmed to Papaplatte once again that he would be involved should his demands not be met. His statements were merely part of the typical role-playing expected in the project.
So far, it is still unclear when the “German OnlyFangs” is supposed to start. The spring of 2026 has been mentioned, but the exact date is still missing. The participant list is likely still in progress.
