YouTuber and Twitch streamer Brandon “Bashurverse” Ahsur has died at the age of 36 due to complications from COVID-19. He was a successful content creator for Minecraft on YouTube in the early 2010s until his past caught up with him. Even from his hospital bed, he urged people to get vaccinated.
This was Bashurverse’s career:
- The Minecraft career of the American took place mainly in 2013. At that time, his YouTube channel grew by several hundred thousand subscribers in a short period. By April 2014, he had surpassed one million subscribers.
- However, in 2015, it came to light that he had been arrested 11 years earlier in Kentucky for having “illegal contact with a minor.” Terrible rumors quickly spread on the internet. Ashur later admitted that he had had a relationship with a 15-year-old while he was 18. The fact that this story surfaced years later triggered a personal crisis for the YouTuber.
- After abruptly ending his career in 2017, Ashur tried to rebuild a career starting in 2019 as “Toasty Time” and worked as a Twitch streamer.
