In spring 2023, Twitch banned the streamer “Real_Bazzi” aka “Bazzi”. The ban was supposed to be permanent, but a year and a half later he is back – thanks to support.
Which streamer is it about? Bazzi is a German streamer who built his career with roleplay in GTA 5. However, in 2023 he suddenly started showing gambling – Twitch brought down the ban hammer:
- Bazzi grew his Twitch channel from an average of 20 viewers to over 34,000 in just a few months in 2021.
- The streamer benefited from the hype surrounding roleplay in GTA 5 and his brilliant idea: with his character “Marcel Heris” he parodied one of the biggest German streamers, MontanaBlack – real name Marcel Eris.
- However, on February 20, 2023, Bazzi suddenly started with casino streams on Twitch, despite previously stating that gambling addiction had already destroyed his life once. After just about a week, the streaming platform banned him – seemingly permanently.
In June 2024, however, Bazzi celebrated his return to Twitch.
The gambling category slots was huge on Twitch for a while. Even the then biggest streamer xQc showed the so-called “casino streams”:

Why is the streamer allowed to return? Bazzi’s surprising return seems to be thanks to a court ruling. His casino buddy Scurrows celebrated the comeback on X, formerly Twitter: Bazzi must be glad about attorney Nik Sarafi, says Scurrows.
With this lawyer, the opinion blogger KuchenTV had previously sued his way back to Twitch.
How is he doing so far? Bazzi held his comeback stream on June 3, 2024, with an average of 3,772 viewers – that is not a bad result, considering how long the streamer had disappeared from the scene.
In fact, Bazzi even had more viewers than before the ban with his last streams without gambling (via SullyGnome). However, it seems Bazzi is not fully trusting in peace yet, as he frequently jokes about when the next ban will come in his streams.
In the comeback stream, an old acquaintance also dropped by: MontanaBlack donated 100 subs, prompting Bazzi to shed a few tears of joy:
So far, Bazzi remains compliant on Twitch, restricting himself solely to the safe category “Just Chatting”. In addition to his activity on the purple platform, the streamer intends to continue offering daily streams on Kick – including gambling.
The joy over Bazzi’s unbanning is however quite limited among non-fans, as can be seen from the comments under Scurrows’ post on X. This is hardly surprising, as the streamer already received schadenfreude for the ban: German casino streamer faces schadenfreude after ban on Twitch: “I am not a bad person”
