Pokémon GO can also cause frustration. A trainer on Reddit reports this, who has an annoying rival at work.
If you want to earn coins in Pokémon GO without spending real money, you primarily have only one option: the gyms. If you place monsters in gyms, they earn one coin every 10 minutes for you. You can thus receive a maximum of 50 coins per day and get them as soon as your monsters return from the gym.
It can indeed be frustrating when a Pokémon that you just placed in a gym returns to you right away. A trainer on Reddit can sing a song about that.
“Let their Pokémon rot in the gym forever”
What does the dispute look like? As the trainer reports, he works in an agency. There is also a gym there. His problem: he is not the only trainer working in this agency who wants to use this gym. And his rival is not only from another team but is very active as well.
Once the trainer occupies the gym, his Pokémon is thrown out again in no time. His rival then places a Snorlax, one of the best defenders in the game, in the gym. In addition, the Snorlax is continuously healed with golden Razz Berries, leading to an endless battle.
This means that the trainer has no way to earn coins in this gym. While there are gyms where different teams have found good solutions without fixed arrangements so that everyone can earn their coins, the trainer ends up empty-handed.
What does the community say? The community gives the frustrated trainer various suggestions on how he could behave in this situation to annoy his rival. Under his post on Reddit, you can find among others the following comments:
- “Stop battling for the gym. You’re giving 50 coins and getting nothing for it. Maybe after a while when she doesn’t get any coins herself, she’ll let you get some,” writes Amaina.
- “Yes, let her monsters rot in the gym forever and don’t fight against them. Suddenly, she stops getting daily coins and her monsters get stuck. That sounds like pretty good revenge to me,” says highesthouse.
- “Take it just before a raid starts so you at least have a bit of time to get something,” notes Illustrious_Hat3467.
- “After you defeat the gym, wait about 20 minutes before placing a Pokémon. It will stay gray so she can’t place any Pokémon. Just waste her time,” writes StreetTriple675.
- “You have 30 seconds to place Pokémon first after winning the last battle. The previous team has a waiting time of 10 minutes before it can return,” adds MattGeddon regarding the strategy of the previous comment.
