The dragon Pokémon Milza is one of the most sought-after monsters in Pokémon GO. For this reason, many trainers are searching for it. However, getting it is not that easy. A reddit user discovered this as well. We at MeinMMO took a look at what happened and will show you.
What kind of Pokémon is Milza? Milza is a Dragon-type Pokémon from the 5th generation of games. It is one of the rarer monsters in the game and is therefore highly sought after by players. You can recognize it by its green, dragon-like body.
How can you obtain Milza? There are currently three different ways to obtain this rare monster in the game. One of these options is to hatch 10 km eggs. But with a lot of luck, you might also encounter Milza in the wild or receive it as a personal Pokémon.
We have summarized detailed information on how you can get Milza and how strong it can become in the following article:
Trainer walks 8,000 km to get Milza
Trainer randomname212121 is also on a desperate search for Milza and reports his experiences on reddit: “Since the release of Milza in eggs, I estimate I have walked about 8,000 km and have not hatched a single one. I don’t know what else I can do” (via reddit.com).
With this post, he also speaks for other trainers who comment below with their own experiences regarding Milza. Many of these players have also been searching for the rare dragon for a long time. ZMcQ88 writes: “I haven’t received a Milza either. Since its release, I have hatched about 300 10 km eggs.” (via reddit.com).
Is Milza really that rare?
That Milza is not only extremely rare to find in the wild, but also difficult to obtain from 10 km eggs has also been confirmed by the community around The Silph Road in their own statistical survey (via thesilphroad.com). The information regarding the hatched monsters was collected and analyzed by many volunteer trainers.
According to this data (as of October 28, 2021), a total of 481 hatched 10 km eggs were recorded. Milza hatched from only 1.7% of the eggs. If this rate remains constant, according to The Silph Road, you would get about 15 Milza from 875 eggs.
However, you first need to receive a 10 km egg from a PokéStop or gym. As 2 km and 5 km eggs can also be obtained by spinning. The chance of getting a 10 km egg, according to The Silph Road, is currently 16.6%. This further reduces your chances of obtaining Milza.
Trainer 13Kaniva describes the rarity of the dragon Pokémon as follows: “Milza. Not even a real mysterious Pokémon, but it could just as well be one.” (via reddit.com).
The Silph Road is a global community of trainers, dataminers, and Pokémon GO enthusiasts. Together, they try to analyze and better understand the game. They make their findings and results publicly available to other trainers.
Is there a way to get Milza more easily?
No. You can only obtain Milza from 10 km eggs or, with a lot of luck, in the wild. To encounter it there, you should especially pay attention to windy weather. Additionally, Milza can also appear as a personal Pokémon. This is the daily spawn that is shown to every trainer when they first open the game. This monster varies for each player.
To increase the chances of getting Milza, some trainers hope for a change in the eggs. YARGLE_IS_MY_DAD writes: “I wish we could send eggs” (via reddit.com).
This demand has been made by the Pokémon GO community more frequently in the past. So far, Niantic has not responded to this request from trainers. Whether this will change in the future and if Milza will be easier to obtain is currently unknown.
If Niantic comments or announces changes, you will naturally find out here on MeinMMO.
