In Pokémon GO, your monsters can end up stuck in a gym for a long time. Fortunately, there are players who can help with this.
In Pokémon GO, you can defeat gyms owned by an opposing team. If you succeed, you can place your own Pokémon in the gym. This is the only permanent way in the game to earn free coins. You can earn 50 coins this way daily.
However, to get the coins, your monster must also be defeated and kicked out of the gym. If this doesn’t happen, your monster can spend a long time in a gym and you cannot use it in battles during that time.
A player is currently being celebrated on social media. He is rescuing monsters that have been separated from their trainers for ages.
“You are a hero”
What is the trainer doing? A trainer posted on Reddit. He writes that he is currently traveling through rural areas in India. Apparently, there are gyms that are not visited very often.
Therefore, the trainer seizes the opportunity and defeats the gyms that contain monsters that have been sitting there for ages. He attached 2 pictures of such monsters to his post.
Here are a Jiutesto and a Flampion. While the Jiutesto has been in the gym for more than 647 days, the Flampion has even been there for 723 days. So, it has been stuck in the gym for almost 2 years.
How is the community reacting? The trainer’s rescue operation is met with enthusiasm in the community. Some of the comments under the Reddit post are:
