Monster Hunter World: Iceborne (MHW) receives its final update. We at MeinMMO show you the new trailer and what it contains. Because the finale will be monstrous, and not necessarily because of the size.
What type of update is this? Title Update 5, which will also be the last for MHW, will be released on October 1st. From then on, players on all platforms can jump into the adventure.
You can expect new monsters, some style, and a spooky event.
Fatalis makes his grand appearance
First of all, it will certainly be monstrous in terms of new monsters. The fan-favorite Fatalis makes his debut in Monster Hunter World. He is already known from previous installments and extremely hostile towards all living beings.
Details about the gameplay of the fight itself are not yet widely known, as patience is still required for a few more days. However, the new map, which resembles Dark Souls, offers ballistae and cannons for a siege. The skills of the armors remain a secret; for now, only the appearance can persuade.
Similar applies for the battle-hardened Velkhana, who also joins the ranks of the Iceborne monsters with the update. However, we can assume that the battle will be icy again. With even more stressful breath and spikes that are out to get you.
Finally, it gets spooky
But in the new update, more monstrous things await us besides the monsters. MHW finally gets a Halloween event with eerie costumes. This is the Seliana Spooky Festival and offers a lot for scare fans.
What do we know about the event? The Spooky Festival begins on October 16 at 2 AM our time and runs until November 5.
If the developers remain true to their line, you will be able to obtain the armor again through tickets. These spooky tickets are for the normal version of the armor.
As a decorative armor, you will probably be able to obtain the whole thing again through VIP tickets. You get these by completing event missions or by helping through SOS signals. Wearing the normal armor increases your chances of getting VIP tickets.
What else is included? The trailer shows two more decorative armors. On the one hand, we have an incredibly fluffy Kadachi scarf. If you prefer to roam around somewhat bare and fit, you shouldn’t miss the Buff Body.
Additionally, you can expect a collaboration. This time with Universal Studios Japan, bringing you cool armors and weapons in the style of the already known Azure Star equipment.
Thus, on October 1, the era of Monster Hunter World comes to an end. According to the developers, the game will continue to be supplied with events, but without new content.
At least for you Switch owners, there is a little consolation. Because in March 2021, the new game Monster Hunter Rise will be released.
