The new trailer for Season 9 of Fortnite is online and provides you with the first insights into the events of the new season! Under the motto “The future is yours,” Season 9 kicks off.
What’s new in Season 9? This season is all about the future. The trailer shows what the skins did after the volcanic eruption and how the game world has changed since then.
In the video description for the trailer, Epic mentions new locations that you can explore. There is also a new transportation system in the game. You can move quickly through a wind tunnel.
This is what you see in the trailer: The clips mainly show the time after the volcanic eruption. A Jonesy skin and a Shali skin are escaping into a bunker just before the volcano erupts.
They then stay there for a while until they are freed by the new skins that were also introduced.
Shali sacrifices himself for Jonesy: The Jonesy skin is now just disheveled and has a long beard. He seems to have used the Shali skin to survive, as he wears the shell as a cape and holds a banana shake.
When the doors open, you can see the new game world of Fortnite. With the motto “The future is yours,” you are welcomed by the new and futuristic world of Neo Tilted.
This is what you see of the new world: The glimpses of Neo Tilted are small, but you can see that the city now consists of large skyscrapers and colorful billboards. Airships circle above the city.
In the video description, Epic also talks about other locations you can visit. There is “Shali’s Banana Stand” and “Nugget Hut.” They could be similar to locations such as Durrr Burger and could play a role in upcoming challenges.
