Rank 2 – Camelot Unchained
The 2001 released Dark Age of Camelot is definitely one of the games you could call cult. Three factions, tactical PvP battles, conquests—all of this appeals especially to PvP fans who want to experience more than just simple duels. Camelot Unchained wants to bring back that player experience.
Behind the game is none other than Mark Jacobs, who was also responsible for Dark Age of Camelot. In the ongoing alpha phases, fans can already see that the massive battles between three unique factions are once again the focus. The engine can depict hundreds of players simultaneously in battles, which should create the feeling of large-scale wars. A release of Camelot Unchained is still planned for the end of 2015, but it might also be 2016.
