Today, on February 14th, the big Valentine’s Day event starts in Pokémon GO. We will show you the bonuses, Shinies, and more info.
How long does the event last? It starts on February 14th at 1:00 PM and runs until February 18th at 8:00 PM local time.
During the event, you will encounter more pink Pokémon, and there will still be bonuses related to lucky friends. Additionally, new Pokémon will be introduced into the game.
All Information about the Valentine’s Day Event
These are the bonuses: The list is long and has some highlights. We provide you here with the overview:

There is also a collector’s challenge that rewards you with silver Pinap Berries, a Lucky Egg, and an incubator. Additionally, there are gifts available in the shop – there is a bundle with 3 Remote Raid Passes.
There will also be some bonuses for friends. These will mainly revolve around trading. There are:
- Increased chance of lucky friends and lucky Pokémon
- Increased trade distance to 40 kilometers
- Berries will appear more often in gifts
This new Pokémon appears: At the start of the event, you will also encounter Somniam. This Psychic-type Pokémon is brand new and appears for the first time in the game. You can evolve it into Somnivora with the Unova Stone.
This attack returns: If you evolve Kirlia into Gardevoir or Gallade, it will learn the move Synchronoise. Whether this attack is worth it, you can find out here:

What’s next? After Valentine’s Day, it stays exciting as the Kanto Tour will be initiated. Next weekend, on February 20th, this ticket event will take place.
