Release and Time-Gating
How does the release work? Blue Protocol: Star Resonance launches on October 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM German time. Players have been able to preload the anime MMORPG since a day before. The MMORPG is free to play and features a real-money shop, which also offered some pay-to-win items in the beta.
On Steam, you need to download 23.8 GB. In addition to Steam, the MMORPG will also be offered via Epic Games, a dedicated launcher, as well as for Android and for iOS. Even before the launch, 5 million players registered across all platforms.
After the game starts at 2:00 PM, you can expect daily snippets of new content. Instead of unlocking all options for the players immediately, many functions in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance are hidden behind a time gate and will be released gradually.

There are three different difficulty levels, with the master mode offering up to 20 difficulty tiers, aligned with the “Mythic+” system from WoW.

Starting from the third week of gameplay, raids will also be added. Here, too, the difficulty level ranges from normal to masterful, promising hard challenges. To overcome these, players must work hard on their gear beforehand. This will be replaced multiple times throughout the game.
