What is Fall Skirmish? Fall Skirmish is the second round of the official eSports tournaments by Epic Games in Fortnite. It’s about a lot of money. Epic has thrown a whopping 10 million US dollars into the prize pool.
Within 6 weeks, successful players can earn a small fortune if they prevail against the competition. Moreover, Epic has changed quite a bit compared to the previous Summer Skirmish, including the classification of players into five “Clubs”.
All Info about the eSports Event
What are Clubs? Clubs are basically teams of 100 players each. The five Clubs are:
- Fort Knights
- Lucky Lamas
- Dusty Dogs
- Rift Raiders
- Bush Bandits
Every player in the tournament is part of a Club and represents it throughout the tournament.
How does the tournament work? Every week there are Trials and Competitive Events. In the Trials, all club members can participate, while in the Competitive rounds, only a selected roster.
What are Trials? Players from their respective Clubs form teams that then compete against each other in regular team matches. The teams from each Club with the most eliminations in a single match win cash prizes as well as points for their Club:
- 1st place: 45,000 $ and 325 points
- 2nd place: 25,000 $ and 225 points
- 3rd place: 15,000 $ and 180 points
- 4th place: 10,000 $ and 150 points
- 5th place: 5,000 $ and 120 points
How are the winnings distributed? For Trials and Competitive matches, there are points for the Clubs in the overall ranking. The score depends on how well the individual players performed.
There are also extra prizes for the events. At the end of the tournament, another 4 million US dollars will be distributed among the Clubs.
How can I participate? If you want a spot in one of the Clubs for a later game, you can still apply. Post a short video on one of your social networks expressing your enthusiasm for a certain Club. Use one of the following hashtags:
- #FortKnights
- #DustyDogs
- #LuckyLlamas
- #RiftRaiders
- #BushBandits
You might be able to participate in the tournament and win a lot of money. After all, various amateurs won a small fortune in the Summer Skirmish.
What format will be played first? The first Skirmish in week 1 will have the format “Hold the Throne” (Duos). The duo team with the most points at the end of six matches wins.
Epic victories and eliminations will be counted to determine your ranking at the end of the event. The best ten teams at the end of the competition will receive prizes.
Additionally, the duo that holds the throne (that is, the most kills overall) at the end of the six matches will win a bonus prize of 50,000 $.
When does it start? The first round begins today at 6 PM our time. Round 2 starts afterwards at 10 PM. Here you can watch the tournament on Twitch:
