This is currently happening in Fortnite: There are only a few hours left until Thursday, August 27, when the new Season 4 of Chapter 2 will be rolled out. Until then, players have time to fully level their battle pass to level 100.
After that, a new update will be rolled out tomorrow to kick off Season 4. The transition is expected to take place without a live event marking the end of Season 3.
At what time does the season start? It is still unknown when the update will be rolled out precisely. Based on previous updates, it could be between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM.
Actually, the downtime for updates from Season 3 started at 8:00 AM, but in the last patches, the servers were down from 10:00 AM. We will inform you here on MeinMMO as soon as the exact time is announced.
Important: For larger updates that roll out an entire season, the downtime usually lasts longer than usual.
What content is in Season 4?
What theme could the new season have? Epic has already shared some official teasers that are supposed to hint at the next season and suggest what content it might bring. While players can speculate about various ideas, they will discover how it all looks only at the start of the season.
However, if you look at the teasers, you can already see that Marvel will play a significant role. There are even comic book pages that can be found in the game, telling a story about the god of thunder Thor and the Fortnite characters.

First changes are already noticeable on the map, as the familiar rifts have reappeared. In Fortnite, they often signify something big. For instance, the first rift brought the giant Kevin the Cube, who rolled across the map for weeks.
The Fortnite world seems to be in danger and Thor will likely play a significant role in this story, but how this will unfold is still unclear.
The Battle Pass of Season 4
What is already known about the battle pass? Which skins we can expect in the battle pass will be revealed only in the trailer. They are usually introduced there as well. However, the teasers already show a direction in which it might go.
So far, it seems that the main theme of the season is the collaboration with Marvel. Could this be reflected in the battle pass? If so, we could receive a complete palette of superhero skins.
What will the next battle pass likely cost? So far, the battle passes have always cost 950 V-Bucks, with the version including 25 tiers costing 2,800 V-Bucks. It is unlikely that these prices will change.
It seems a new story is developing, or could it be connected to the story from Chapter 1? We won’t have to wait long until it finally starts. Maybe Fortnite will feel like Fortnite again in the new Season 4.
