The changes from the Live-Fire update in Titanfall 2 have now been released. However, the release of the update is still delayed.
As the developers of Titanfall 2 announced back in January, there is to be an update for the game this month. It will include the Live-Fire game mode with two specially designed maps. The update will also include balance changes, game improvements, and bug fixes.
New bugs are currently being fixed in this update, which is causing a delay. There is still no official release date for the Live-Fire patch.
Fast Live-Fire Game Mode
In the Live-Fire mode, two teams of six pilots each play against each other. These 6v6 rounds last a maximum of 60 seconds, during which you must either eliminate the entire opposing team or seize the neutral flag. The team that wins 5 rounds first is the winner.
“There are two maps (Stacks and Meadows) that are exclusively intended for the Live-Fire mode. Live Fire is a limited-time game mode that appears in the Featured Playlist. We will rotate the mode with other modes that we want to introduce. Since Live Fire differs significantly from the new modes of the past, it is only a featured mode and will not be included in the list of regular game modes. However, we will monitor the popularity of Live Fire and decide how often it will appear in the Featured Playlist based on community feedback.”
Mixtape Player Search
The menu for player search has been completely redesigned, so you can now create your own mixtapes with game modes. Although this feature is in beta status, it is stable enough to be tested and improved with players. Therefore, you may notice errors in the system when using it. Once the system is live, the developers will collect data and make improvements based on player feedback.
Featured Playlist
Every week you will find new modes in the Featured Playlist that you should try. For some, there will be double XP events when you test them. This way, less popular or new game modes can be shown to the community.
Execution, Coliseum Map, and Grouping Intros
Further changes in the Live-Fire update of Titanfall 2:
- Execution: Inspired by the Stim, “Last Hit” packs a punch and appears alongside other executions in the customization options for pilots.
- New Coliseum Map: Dive into the brand new Columns map in close combat, which offers a completely new twist.
- New Grouping Intros: We have written some new dialogues for the leaders of your grouping, so look forward to some encouraging words before diving into the next match.
