At the launch of Throne and Liberty, there were and continue to be a number of issues. Now, Amazon Games has addressed the known problems and the solutions that have been implemented so far.
What is this status update from Amazon Games? In a letter to the community (via playthroneandliberty.com), the publisher discussed many of the problems that could have hampered the MMORPG fans’ experience at the launch of Throne and Liberty and continue to do so in some cases.
The server issues were addressed, but also the inability to create characters (Error 10), invisible friend lists, auction house bugs, the resetting of settings, and the faulty connection with the Amazon Games ID.

Known Issues and Solutions
Why were there server issues at launch? The gate servers were so heavily loaded due to the number of logins that many players could no longer connect to the world servers. Additionally, the servers reached the limits of their resource utilization. Many of the launch problems have now been resolved:
- The number of gate servers was nearly tripled almost everywhere
- The server services were scaled up (for example, by adding more memory) to provide more resources for the processes
- In addition, new servers were made available and the capacities were increased
These measures have eliminated many problems, but they have not been fully resolved yet. The technical team at Amazon Games is currently working on the remaining issues.
Why could no new characters be created? When a world reaches the upper limit for character creation, it is no longer possible to create new characters there. However, affected players only received the error message 10 instead of this information. This caused confusion, for which the publisher apologizes.
However, due to the previously mentioned increase in server capacities, there should now rarely be any queues or restrictions for creating new characters.
Why is the friend list not visible? The reason for this is still unclear. The developers are currently analyzing why friend requests sometimes remain on the screen even after they have been accepted or declined.
What is the current status of the auction house? On some early access servers in the Europe region, there was a problem where the auction houses were blocked. The efforts to consolidate them caused new problems.
Items could not be listed, items were shown as sold even though they were not, new items could not be listed, and the delivery of Lucent was delayed.
Meanwhile, the bugs responsible for this have been found, so the above-mentioned problems should no longer occur.
Why doesn’t Throne and Liberty save my settings? This problem was related to some key servers in the backend being overloaded that are responsible for saving your settings. In collaboration with NCSoft, Amazon Games has brought more of these servers online to handle the additional load from many new players.
Despite this measure, some players still have the issue where they cannot see their created character. It is still present but has been saved in the wrong region. Fixing this bug is currently the highest priority for Amazon Games.
Why couldn’t I claim my rewards? There is a problem with linking the Throne and Liberty account with the Amazon Games ID. An investigation is still ongoing. In the meantime, Amazon Games has started to manually distribute the missing rewards to those affected.
