The new screenshots of the desert map in PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) look promising! Watchtowers, abandoned shops, and more hiding spots are waiting for you.
We’ve known for some time that a desert map for PUBG is on the way. Finally, there’s some variety for the Erangel map, which you’ve become familiar with in many hundreds of matches.
A new map for the battle royale adventure must be explored and memorized again. Then you’ll quickly find the most important meeting points and hiding spots.
PUBG – Desert Map Screenshots
The graphics and design teams are working hard on the new map for PUBG. In the past weeks, some screenshots have already been presented to us, providing the first glimpses of the map. With new insights into high-rise buildings, cars, shops, watchtowers, and wooden shanties, the gallery has now been expanded.
The new screenshots show some multi-story buildings. These provide opportunities for shooting from windows or the roof. This will be your new combat arena in PUBG – screenshots of the desert map on the streets. In the second image, you can also see a type of prison, or its courtyard, which is enclosed by barbed wire.
The previous screenshots of the desert map suggest a balance between open, expansive areas and built-up, abandoned settlements.
How big is the desert map? When is the release?
The first impressions of the map were available in July. At that time, the team explained that Peru served as the model for the new map. It was also stated that the new map would be smaller than the current Erangel map. Later, however, head Brendan Greene explained that the two maps would not differ in size.
A snow map has also been announced. However, there is unfortunately no material available for this yet.
With the new screenshots, many gamers’ anticipation for the new battle arena for PUBG is rising. However, there is still no exact release date for this. Players on Xbox will also have to wait a little longer for the desert map. PUBG on Xbox One is lagging behind the PC version.
