The new MMORPG “Hytale” might be familiar to Minecraft fans. However, it takes the block game a step further.
Anyone who still regularly plays Minecraft after all these years or is considering taking a look at the game again can now look forward to a new title. The freshly announced MMORPG “Hytale” seems to bring together everything that fans have long wished for from Minecraft.
What is Hytale? Hytale visually and gameplay-wise resembles Minecraft. This means that a large part of the game world can be mined and processed into new objects.
But beyond that, Hytale is supposed to offer a comprehensive Adventure mode and aims to strongly involve the modding community to enable custom game modes and a lot of mini-games. In the trailer, you can see funny arena battles in “Battle Royale” style.
Hytale is based on the largest Minecraft server: The founding of the developer studio Hypixel is largely financed by the largest community server of Minecraft, which had more than 14 million players at one point.
The server was especially known for its numerous mini-games, which are also supposed to play a significant role in Hytale.
Riot and Ex-Blizzards as sponsors: It is also interesting that Hytale has managed to attract some renowned developers as sponsors. The developers of Hypixel Studios have gained support from Riot Games (League of Legends) and have acquired a lot of know-how from the LoL studio.
But Rob Pardo, a former employee of Blizzard, has also spoken out in favor of the project and supports its development. Apparently, the industry sees Hytale as a great opportunity.
Fans are excited: Especially in the YouTube comments, fans seem enthusiastic. There are opinions like “You just created Minecraft 2, wow!” or “Minecraft + everything fans want? Brilliant!”
The trailer has also gained high reach in just a few days – less than 5 days after its release, it has almost reached 7 million views.
When will Hytale be released? Right here, the developers are still very sparse with information. Although the trailer looks promising and good, there is still no information about a possible release date. Whether Hytale will be released in 2019 or much later is therefore open.
